Building a home is so exciting and fun, but can also be very overwhelming! A lot of people don’t realize everything that goes into picking the finishes for the exterior of a home. That is where we come in! We have a designer at our Orem location that is here to help with all of those big, tough decisions. Let’s break down the design appointment process for you.
Before the appointment
First off, it is always best if you call ahead to schedule an appointment. The showroom can get busy and if you have made an appointment prior, our designer will be better able to give you her undivided attention. It is also helpful to come to the design appointment with some inspiration pictures to show our designer. We recommend Pinterest, Houzz or even driving around and taking photos of homes that catch your eye! This will help give us an idea of what you are looking for.
During the appointment
We have a wide selection of manufactured stone, natural stone and brick in our showroom. Once you get here, our designer will show you around and help you pick the right stone or brick for your home. She can also show you pictures of homes that have used the stone you are liking to give you a better idea of what it would look like on a home! Once we pick the one that is right for you, we have a large variety of other samples we can look at to help you pick the other finishes for your home. We have stucco samples, paint decks, wood stains, soffit and fascia samples and even shingle samples. It is important to know we don’t sell anything other than stone and brick. These samples are just meant to be used as aids to help you choose your finishes. Our designer will help you put all of these together to find a cohesive scheme that works best for your style, home and budget.
After the appointment
During the design appointment our designer will be making note of your preferences and selections. After you leave she will type this up, put it on file in our system and email it over to you! We can also email a list of local addresses you can drive by to help you make a decision. Feel free to email, call or come back if you have any questions. We love to help! Once you are ready to finalize, you or your builder can give us a call and we will help you place the order. We can’t wait to help you design the exterior of your dreams!
