I purchase three Quadra Fire places from Leroy Kollman, 14 years ago when you had your Sandy shop. I recently had problems with one of the fire places and was told to contact Leroy for advice. Normally once a sell is made, customer service is less than important and becomes secondary. I just wanted to give Leroy Kollman a shout out for exceptional service. I called Leroy and he walked me through a few steps to try to resolve my problem. Leroy’s the reason that I’ll always recommend “Hearth & Home” for fire place gas inserts. We stopped into Hearth and Home in Orem to see what they had. And what they had was a lot of helpful information. The sales person Mary was so knowledgeable we were very impressed and knew we were in good hands. Mary answered any questions we had and made us feel very comfortable about our decision. We purchased a wood burning stove and got the accessories we needed. One accessory we got that I absolutely love is the draw collar and we are so happy we did. It makes the cold draft go straight up the flue and our house never smells like smoke when we start a fire, I wouldn’t get a stove without one. We are so happy that we stop at Heart and Home first and we love our new fireplace.

On Friday March 15, 2013 our Direct Vent Fireplace Insert was installed by Jeff and his helper, Zack. This was the completion to a long process that started in September 2012. That is when Nannette and I, first met Nick Sasich on your sales floor and he did an excellent job of explaining your various products to us. You were the first store that we visited but after getting all of our questions answered by Nick, we went directly to another sugarhouse location. We then, over the next several weeks visited three other fireplace insert store locations. Nick’s knowledge and ability to explain things in a manner that even Nannette and I could comprehend, brought us back into your stpre. towards the end of October, when we again saw Nick and met Scott for the first time. The remainder of our questions (Most of them newly acquired during our research process.) were answered and we scheduled an appointment for Leroy to come to our house on Wednesday, October 31st at 4:00 pm to check out our existing situation and work us up an estimate. On November 1st, Scott provided us with that estimate and told me “We pride ourselves on offering our customers responsive, competent and excellent customer service. From desire to fire you can rely on us.” Nannette and I found Scott’s words to be correct. After talking with Scott about our situation, he provided Mike Butler’s name and phone number to us as a person who could bring the electrical and gas hookups from outside to the inside of our fireplace. Mike is a jack-of-all-trades and without saying a word, very quickly demonstrates his competence. Jeff even commented on his excellent work. Nannette & I couldn’t have been more please with every aspect of the process and each individual we encountered were very professional. Thanks to all of you!”

Today I had a questar energy efficient audit completed on my home. the guy hooked up a vacuum to suck the air out of my home to see where I had air leaks. he said usually in a gas fireplace you feel quite a bit of air leaking. on my fireplace – there was practically nothing, which he then commented saying who ever installed your fire place did an excellent job. Not only that, it has An electric ignition that saves greatly on gas not having the pilot light burning constantly.

Matt budge did an excellent job on my install, he’s very professional and kind, and after 3 yrs I’ve been very happy with it. I thought i should let you know.”

Ben Gowan of Go Electric was delightful to have in our home. He called and arranged a time that was convenient for us and him. He came promptly at the designated time. He was knowledgeable, professional, making the smallest possible hole in the wall. He cleaned up beautifully after completing his work. He was efficient, clean, and answered all our questions. We would highly recommend his professional services in the future. He was willing to come back to correct the mishap at 6:00 at night even though that was most inconvenient for him. However, it was not necessary since Brookes had the expertise to fix the problem.

R J came prior measure and plan the route of installation. He had excellent ideas that work so well for our situation. It was not an easy install, but required some creative and expert thinking and planning.

R J and Brookes arrived in a timely manner. The running of the gas line was difficult and they considered the best options carefully both for aesthetics and efficiency. They chose a more difficult route for themselves, but a superior route for us. When they ran into a snag, Brookes excused R J due to extenuating circumstances and worked long into the evening. He went well beyond his normal call of duty to complete the job in order to have it – not just something in the fireplace – but up and running for a dinner party we had planned for the following evening. Again, they were delightful to have in the home. They were clearly experts in their fields about the product and procedures necessary to do their tasks. They were clean and cleaned up after their job was completed.

Your business team is outstanding. Every individual seemed to assume ownership and commitment to Hearth and Home. We will avidly recommend your product and business to those we come in contact with.”

“I am writing this email to let you know how much I have appreciated the service that Julie and Hal provided my 90 year old mother.

My parents purchased a fireplace insert in 1996. The remote control for turning the fireplace on and off was misplaced.

My father, luckily, kept all of the information that was given to him when he purchased the insert. I was able to find your store based on that information.

I contacted Julie and she went to work to attempt to find out the correct remote that would work as a replacement. When she found it she called back to let me know and she had the replacement sent to your store. I went in to pick up the part. When I got to my mother’s home, I found that there was a remote but also a new thermostat. I called Julie again, as I was not able to change the thermostat. She contacted Hal and they made arrangements to come to my mother’s home and see if the remote would work with the old thermostat and if not the new one would be installed. Hal came and it took him about 5 minutes to fix the thermostat and have the remote working! The fireplace is my mother’s lifeline to watch her TV in the basement.

I have said multiple times that the time and effort Julie took to find the correct part and have Hal come and see if he could fix it easily has restored my faith that there are some that still do the right thing and are not out to scam or hurt others! I really appreciate all the help and kindness that was shown to me to fix this situation for my mother. I know where I will go when I need or want changes or additions to my fireplaces!
