With Home Parade season quickly approaching we thought it would be nice to do a few trend forecast posts. First up, a trend we have been seeing more and more of in our design centers are Navy blue colored front exterior doors. Navy doors can be paired with a diverse assortment of exterior siding, stone, and brick colors.
If you’re doing brick on your exterior, try out this red river pioneer tumbled brick. This was actually featured on a parade home last year with a navy colored door. They were extra early trend setters alright because now navy doors are becoming more and more popular.
Grey brick, white brick and white painted brick also goes quite well with this navy trend.
Or perhaps you’re looking to do it with stone. We have seen both lighter and darker navy blues chosen for exterior doors and there is a wide variety of stone options that can be paired with these colors. The photo below features a lighter and softer navy blue door paired with the Shore Cliff coloring in the Harristone which comes in many different shapes and styles.
We asked our designer what their favorite navy blues to use for front exterior doors were and they came up with their top six favorite colors.
In the Sherwin Williams Paint: Naval, Dark Night, and In the Navy.
In the Benjamin Moore Paint: Old Navy, Newbury Port Blue, and Hale Navy.
