Choosing the mortar for your home is more important than one might realize. Today we are going to talk about the differences between some of our most popular mortar options. These include Trinity White, Antique White & Natural Gray. Trinity White is our lightest mortar and Antique White is a good in between of Natural Gray and Trinity White. When choosing the mortar for your home, you should consider if you want the overall look to be lighter or darker. It is also important to think about which tones in the stone that you want to pop.
Both of these homes used the beautiful Fond Du Lac Random Field-stone. The first home used antique white mortar, the second home used trinity white. As you can see, when using the whitest mortar, it made the stone shapes and colors pop more. With the antique white mortar it helped blend the stones a little bit more. Depending on what look you are going for, either option is great! Let’s look at another example:
