In old world, revival, or European style or inspired homes (ie. Italian, Tuscan, villa, old English, French country, manor, Tudor, Mediterranean, and etc.), you’re bound to see at least a few of these neat walk up accents. A front yard court yard with stone or brick can take the curb appeal of your home to the next level.
They main questions we hear with these spaces are what do you use on your walls when it comes to the masonry? and what do you use for the caps?
For the wall:

  • Use the same exact stone or brick that is on your home
  • Use the brick you used for trim accents on your home
  • Use paver brick and building landscape brick to match that coordinates with stone and/or brick on the home but is not the same
  • Stone on pillars only to match stone on home exterior or that is very similar to stone on home with either stucco, cinder block, landscape block, limestone block, or cultured stone cast fit limestone block replica stone on the wall portion
For the caps:
  • Limestone caps
  • Pre-cast caps
  • Manufactured stone caps
