Concorde Homes, showcased one of their new twin homes in this year’s Utah Valley Parade of Homes, and its break away from white or black trim was very refreshing. Don’t get us wrong, we love the contrast of a white or a black or a bronze colored trim but sometimes it’s nice to do something a little different. The exterior was a fully neutral color scheme but not without interest. They tied in architectural details like corbels and they used stained wood and wood-look products in combination with stone and hardie siding materials to give a well rounded exterior.

They used the Harristone Slate Uintah Ledgestone on the exterior. The Slate Uintah (for short) is currently one of our most popular stones, and with good reason, as you can see on this home. The stone blends a variety of grey stones with a touch of brown making it a perfect choice for this home’s blend of dark brown woods and lighter neutrals.

The interior is really where our heart was stolen though. The main level’s open floor plan lent itself perfectly to one single emphasis/focal point for the space and that emphasis included a three sided modern peninsula style fireplace with a small desk area and decorative shelving.  The stone they used was the Winterhaven Alpine Pro-fit Ledgestone. This stone is a drystacked stone, that adds a lot of texture and pattern to a space, elevating it’s design, style, and aethestic.

We also see this same stone on the lower level where they have a gorgeous media wall set up. The stone feature was behind a wall mounted Television, above dark contrasting cabinetry. This center focal point was set between two closets with matching dark floating shelves and decorative barn doors on either side.
