Millhaven Homes Parade of Home in Utah Valley this year, introduced us to a refreshing blue colored eastern colonial style farmhouse with a few contemporary Utah style touches, including some gorgeous stone work on the front planters and foundation. The stone work, using the Echo Ridge Country Ledgestone, on the front brought in some color, texture, pattern, and interest that the home would have otherwise been lacking on it’s over all simple exterior facade. The stone work added curb appeal and a more custom and upscale look, perfect for any parade home. Not to mention the blue paint color they chose was a perfect pop of color in the neighborhood the home was nestled in.

Moving inside, we find a wonderfully contemporary space with yet another perfect stone choice on the fireplace. They chose the same color of stone as the exterior for the fireplace, but changed up the shape, pattern, and texture of it by going with the Alpine Pro-fit Ledgestone Drystacked style versus the more traditional Country Ledgestone style. This modernized the look of the fireplace, as well as fit the scale of the space much better. It also tied in more of the blues, greys, and white like on the exterior. The stone even helped to tie in the warm camel colored couch which complimented and balanced the blues and cool neutrals in the space. The home had a very seamless flow from exterior to interior and we think they couldn’t have made better choices on the stone for the spaces.
