The Utah Valley Parade of Homes 2020 just came to an end, and the staff over at Hearth and Home is once again, amazed! With countless hours of hard work from all those involved, the Home Builders Association and all the amazing builders, subs, and designers pulled off an amazing Parade! Although there were some necessary changes, like social distancing in homes and requiring wearing masks, some new developments came from the parade that we hope stick for the years to come! With a virtual parade option, guests were able to view home in person, or from the comfort of their own home! With such beautiful work done, we will of course have to evaluate the homes! So here is the kickoff to our next series: The Utah Valley Parade of Homes 2020!

To start off our series we thought we would review E Builders home! This Unforgettable home, The Alpine Swoop, was full of amazing architectural details, fun colors, and beautiful masonry. 8,343 square feet of well-designed spaces have created the Alpine Swoop to be a home that people just cannot stop talking about! This home was awarded 6 people choice awards; Gold in Best Kitchen, Silver in Best Primary Suite, Platinum in Best Floor Plan, Gold in Best Landscape & Outdoor Space, Platinum in Best Interior Design, and Gold in the Favorite Home Category. The Alpine Swoop was a show stopper, and we are so thrilled to have played a small part in creating this beautiful home!

The Exterior

This exterior is amazing! With two supporting masonry applications and a unique elevation, the Alpine Swoop will surely stand the test of time! With stone and painted brick, the exterior balances a warm neutral palette. While most people would glaze over the minor details of painted brick, the designers made sure to focus on every detail. Heritage Hills, one of our most popular brick, was used on this project. With a clean Overgrout, the brick creates a unique texture. Certainly, this brick creates the perfect white base for the exterior! Moving on to the stone, they selected the Fond du Lac Country Squire. With it’s beautiful neutral and warm tones, this natural stone is perfect for the home.

The Interior

Interior you’ll find many of the same exterior materials used. This consistency brings an organic flow from exterior to interior, and we love it! By bringing the masonry as accents interior, it adds a beautiful unique texture to the spaces. The Great Room Fireplace features a warm ledgestone, which brings a light and airy aesthetic to the space. In the master bedroom, they used the same painted brick as the exterior. And of course, in the adorable play area, they used the same exterior stone to create the cutest playhouse!
